 ***IMPORTANT NEWS***

The format for curling at the 2014 Alberta Winter Games has changed.

The competition will see 16 pre-qualified teams from an Open Pre-Event Provincial Bonspiel playing the Mixed Doubles Curling Format.  Rules for “Mixed Doubles Play” will be used. 

~~ Open to all curlers who meet the age requirements and who reside in Alberta ~~

 AGE REQUIREMENTS
15 years of age or younger as of December 31, 2013 (Year of Birth:  1998 – 2002)

TEAM COMPOSITION
2 competitors (one male and one female per team)
1 coach per team (must be 21 years of age and meet ACF coaching qualifications)

ATTENTION

LEVEL 2 CERTIFIED COACHES
 
For all Level 2 Certified Coaches who were grandfathered into the new NCCP Coaching Stream – Certified Competition Coach,   January 31, 2015 is the deadline to maintain your Certified Status!
 
To maintain your Certified Coach Status, you must complete the On-Line MED Evaluation (Make Ethical Decisions) within five years (effective January 2010), but strongly recommend you complete as soon as possible.  Coaches who fail to meet this requirement will be reassigned “In Training” status with credit for all criteria except the On-line MED.  Your “Certified” status will be restored when the required On-line MED evaluation is complete.
